Rankine I’ll let you know when I’ve got some sets made.
Knocked up the jigs for the standard style mounts over a few lunchtimes at work (not the best welding as we only have 0.6mm wire at work, not ideal for 6mm plate

)
Then made some mounts at home that drop the engine 40mm using the jigs. The inlet manifold now has a nice amount of bonnet clearance, I don’t think I’ll have sump clearance issues either
Just need to finish the gearbox mount now to also lower that 40mm to keep the angle correct and I can whip them all off to blast and paint.

Jigs are working well the man! Will exhaust manifold Clear the chassis alright?

You would think so looking from above but it’s all good.
Just need to nick and modify the downpipe adapter off the J20. It needs a lambda fitting and spacer adding to it to trick it into thinking there’s a CAT still.

Ideal man it did look a little close in first pic. Will the lambda thinking there's no cat effect the running or just throw a code up?

Just throw a code up so I’ve got one of those extension things to try

it works

Knocked up a new gearbox crossmember to lower the gearbox end 40mm as well.
All blasted, primed, painted and bolted in.
Mounts also had the same treatment and are back on the engine. Just been getting a few other bits sorted on the engine as well before refitting it later this week.

it will be running and driving again soon.

Cheers man
Got the engine back in today and also welded a threaded bung for the 2nd O2 sensor into the downpipe with the spacer to hopefully trick it into thinking there’s still a CAT

Also swapped in a 15/16” GV master cylinder and servo to keep the 1” one for Blue and started fitting various pipes etc.
Also now have a feeling that this engine might have a leaking rear main seal

will get it running and worry about that another time.
Hopefully not too long before I can get it fired up.

All coming together man hopefully the spacer does the job!
