Hey, I was just wondering if you can help me on a problem i have? I need to replace my sammies gearbox but im unsure of what gearbox i need as its had a engine conversion. It was a 1988 1.0ltr santana but now has a 1.3ltr engine, the problem is i dont know what year this engine is. i have the engine number G13A-243984, is there a way to use that to find out the year and with that can i then find out what gearbox an clutch i need?

any advice would be appreiciated

Any samurai/SJ413 gearbox will work, they are all the same. it 'should' bolt straight up to the existing gearbox mount as yours is a late 410 as far as I remember.

As for the clutch the same again SJ413/samurai they are all the same.

I presume the engine you have has the flywheel fitted?

you will also need to modify the engine mounts as the 1.3s mounts are in a different position. should only need to change one of them though I think?
