brakes n bearings
hi all going to sort out my rear brake shoes n wheel bearings on my c reg sj 410
1 the oil seals have gone n leaks oil all over and bearings must be shot to bits u can wobble the half shaft all over so before a buy just want to make sure I get the right ones from my local car parts shop , anyone no which ones I shud get
2 when I got my sj it had no rear shoes in if I remember right so I bought some and fitted them but must of bin the wrong ones cos I couldn't get the drum back on it was that tite with no adjustment on had a few people look and said that sumits wrong , so r these the wrong cylinders for a c reg or just the wrong shoes thanks any info will help

Have the Pistons alway been that far out? And there should be some pins that go through the back plate and the shoes

Yea mate thats as far as i can get them in pushing either side together , shud they not be like that ? Yea av got the 2 pins mate just didnt put them on for the pic

The self adjuster looks like its on the max. If that's the case, your never get the drum on..

Undo the bleed nipple and squeeze them in, then just nip it back up again. That's what I do if they won't go in. As Darrell said wind the adjuster back as well

Thanks mate i will try that tomoz , the adjuster just springs back to there all the time

As the adjuster is on the max and you say the cylinders are fully compressed, I'd have to go with wrong cylinders. Unfortunately there are quite a few to choose from on the 410.

hi no joy I undone the bleed nipple n it did move a little I managed to just get the drum on but that me braying it on tite , obv no good not move I found some old shoes I must have takin off when I got the anus , I put them together n top bit slightly different r these the wrong ones or not matter thanks
