Instrument gauge swap??
Is it possible to swap my 88 samurai's instrument panel that has just fuel/temp on the right hand round guage for the one with a rev counter? Crap quality Images of the ones I mean below

Re: Instrument gauge swap??
The top one looks like the 86-88 type and the bottom one 88 onwards. I believe the connections are the same but unsure about fitting in the dash. I believe the type which should be a swap for the non tacho is this. I assume the wire from the coil to the dash is fitted as standard ? Hopefully the lads can give better advice on swapping

Re: Instrument gauge swap??
can you post up a picture of the back of your instrument panel, I might have a spare one with a tacho that will fit.
Darrell there are two different sets of connectors used on the 413/samurai instrument panels, not sure if it's age related or the old jap/spanish thing but I have gone to swap some that looked identical on the front before but the connections didn't match on the back.

Re: Instrument gauge swap??
The speedo cable may also be different. The non rev counter jap sami i broke had the 90 degree screw on fitting on the rear of the speedo.

Cheers guys! Will have it off tomorrow when I change my cam belt & will take photos of the back, if you have one that fits my connector Scottie that would be 10/10 bud!
