Picked up this (cheap) led light bar today, not fitted yet but I think this is where I'm going to have it placed.
I think it looks really cool here but a friend of mine said he doesn't like the look of it where it is in these photos so I've come to get the opinion of this fine forum

I'll have to agree with your friend. It would be much better protected and look better if fitted below the bar it's on now.

I'm of the same opinion.
However, I'm also of the opinion that you should build your SJ the way that suits YOU, not us!

Okay guys, that was the other and probably most sensible option, and actually what i had in mind before I picked up the light bar but then i thought it looked cool on top.
I'll have a play around tomorrow when hopefully it won't be peeing down with rain!
Thanks guys.

Are you able to move the number plate up a bit, and put the light bar underneath?
I'm having the same problems at the moment, I want to fit it above the windscreen, but the lanes I go down would rip it off, only sensible place at the moment is either fitted to the bumper, or the end of the bonnet!

I think i would get annoyed with it up there in my field of vision all the time, under the bar out of the way would be loads better and look nicer as well i think.

I would go under the bar as well. Dean on ours the bar is on the bonnet where the screen washers were, not the best looking, but works and keeps it out of the way.

Do you find you get quite a bit of glare off the bonnet? - maybe I need to stop polishing mine?
